KidsFirst is strengthening Placer County families through prevention, early detection, intervention, and treatment programs. Our free parenting classes are just one way we stay true to that statement.
In August, we are offering two virtual parenting classes. The Incredible Years parent training series – for parents of children ages 2-12 – will begin Tuesday, August 4 at 6 p.m. During this 12-week class, you will learn how to improve your parenting skills, promote children’s academic, social and emotional competencies, and reduce children’s aggressive behavior.
On Thursday, August 6 at 6 p.m. our Active Parenting of Teens class will begin. Parents and caregivers will learn methods for respectful discipline, tips for clear, honest communication, strategies to prevent risky behavior, and skills to be an encouraging parent. This is a 6-week training class.
Preregistration is required for these classes. All you need to participate is a positive attitude and access to the video conferencing tool Zoom. Email Carolyn Indreboe or call (530) 887-3536 to reserve your spot today.
