Thanks to generous toy donors, staff, volunteers, friends and client families, our 2019 Santa Parties were a huge SUCCESS!
Approximately 700 people attended our Santa Parties this year and we were fortunate enough to have Santa and Mrs. Claus make a special appearance. They happily greeted children and spread lots of joy at our Auburn location on Dec. 13 and Roseville location on Dec. 20 during our “Candyland” themed parties.
While the holiday season may be exciting for many families, for some, it is a stressful time of year. The expectation to provide gifts and plentiful meals can be worrisome for parents without the financial means to do so.
KidsFirst is proud to bring Placer County families together and host an event that minimizes those worries for parents, provides toys for children and most importantly—helps make meaningful memories for our client families during the holiday season.
“It was heartwarming to see the look of joy and delight on the faces of both kids and parents” said Ruth Griffith, local business owner, Roseville parent and KidsFirst volunteer, “Knowing that just a little bit of my time helped make a local family’s holidays brighter makes me happy. I am looking forward to volunteering again next year.”
KidsFirst would like to give a special shout out to Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, Placer County, Rocklin Police Department, Renegade Classics Sacramento, HP and many more for their generosity this season. We are grateful to have their support and love to hear how rewarding it is to give back.
“Our team loves supporting Santa Parties! I know some of the kids who attend may not have a toy for Christmas otherwise,” said a local business participant in our toy drive, “It’s a great event to bring joy to kids, families and the spirit of giving to our employees.”
Santa Parties are a favorite for our KidsFirst staff and volunteers. We are proud to host such a fun event for Placer County families and we can’t wait to do it again next December!
