KidsFirst Board of Directors is thrilled to have Kristi Cornette-Herron join our team as our newest Board Member. Joining in March of 2024, Kristi brings a plethora of knowledge and expertise as Director of Loan Operations at Tri Counties Bank. Throughout her 20+ year banking career, she has worked in multiple areas of finance from sales to operations while co-raising a family, volunteering time in her community, and attending college. She is currently SVP, Director of Loan Operations for Tri Counties Bank, and recently celebrated her 10th anniversary with the organization. Kristi’s diverse and incredible team consists of multiple lending departments and spans across the state of California. Within her first few months of becoming a KidsFirst Board member, Kristi has gone above and beyond to ensure her community impact prevails. Kristi has been a leader in advocating for financial literacy and supplying clients at KidsFirt with the tools needed to be more financially responsible. With Kristi at the helm, we will be starting a brand new financial literacy class this May! Tri Counties Bank and its team will be leading and providing all the materials for our clients to become educated and capable financially.

Academically, Kristi considers herself a “super-student”. She holds an Associate of Arts in Deaf Studies and an Associate of Science in Social and Behavioral Science from Sierra College. She has met all pre-requisites for the nursing program and thought she would one day become a social worker. Kristi also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jessup University and will soon graduate from the Pacific Coast Banking School/ PCBS (Seattle, WA) in August of 2024. There are two graduate degree certificate programs Kristi plans to pursue next for future professional development.

When asked what Kristi is most passionate about, her answer will always be people. She has a heart for “the littles” and most of her volunteer work is focused on the development and success of children. Kristi is a proud aunt of 9 niblings. She loves music, theater, and recently purchased a vintage airstream to renovate because she and her husband love projects.

Kristi was raised by her father and grandmother in Stockton, California. Moving to Lincoln, CA at the age of 16, she unexpectedly fell in love with both the small town and her significant other of 20+ years. Kristi and her oldest son, Keagan, are both graduates of Lincoln High School - go fighting zebras! Kristi’s husband, Jeff, was a 5th generation Roseville Tiger (Roseville H.S.) and his family has built strong generational roots in the Roseville Community for over a hundred years. Fun Fact: Kristi and Jeff are karate parents; both sons, Keagan (18) and Julian (13), earned their black belts in martial arts through Kovar’s Satori Academy, Roseville.
