A long-time Placer County resident and active nonprofit leader and volunteer, Mary is the Founder and CEO of Roseville-based Elevate Public Relations and Marketing and currently serves as the Vice Chair for Kids First’s Board of Directors.

Mary started Elevate Public Relations & Marketing just over 15 years ago to use her expertise in strategic marketing, public relations, and communications to serve businesses and nonprofit organizations that create positive change, enrich people’s lives, and build strong, vibrant communities.

“I have a deep passion for my community and a heart for nonprofit organizations that make our region a wonderful place to live, work, and play. As an entrepreneur, I was able to align my personal values with the core values of the business and to use my time talent, and resources to their greatest, highest good.”

One of her core values is to be an active, integral part of the community. She has held a seat on boards of several nonprofit organizations, has served as a coach to nonprofit leaders participating in the Social Venture Partners Fast Pitch program, and as a mentor for nonprofits participating in the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s Big Day of Giving. In addition, she and her team at Elevate have provided thousands of hours of pro bono marketing and public relations services to regional nonprofit organizations.

Mary was a Kids First donor and volunteer long before she joined the board. “I first became a donor and volunteer for the organization because I felt compelled to do something for those who do not have a voice. Children are our most vulnerable citizens. If we don’t step up to help them who will? The services Kids First offers families empower parents and children with the tools and resources they need to move towards a healthier, happier future. Now, as a board member, I am proud to be a small part of the important work the organization does,” she added.

In her free time, Mary loves to travel, try new activities and go on “adventures” with her extended family including her 90-year-old mom, brother, nephews, adult children, and grandson. I enjoy living life to the fullest and am chasing joy in new experiences every day. I hope the work we do at Kids First provides the same opportunities for the individuals and families we serve.
