Child Abuse
Prevention Council

KFlogoBig-NoBG

Our mission is to end child abuse and neglect through educating, advocating and counseling to empower and strengthen children and families.  Our vision is that all children live in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment.

APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

National Child Abuse Prevention Month is an opportunity to share the importance of individuals and communities working together to keep families safe and healthy. Everyone has a role to play in making sure that our community is a great place for children and families to thrive. There are simple steps we can take every day to help reduce the risk factors of child abuse and neglect. When the well-being of children and families becomes the priority of everyone in a community, child abuse and neglect cases will decrease.

Prevention through Collaboration

The Child Abuse Prevention Council and Support Systems in Placer County know we are stronger working together. Our strength comes in numbers. Please join our collaboration and help build protective factors to provide our children and families a safe and nurturing community to thrive and grow!

BE THE ONE

The Be the One campaign raises awareness of the power of connection. Changing a person's life for the better can happen with one positive connection with just one person. We know this in our hearts and there is research to support it. Being the One for others is a simple way to put trauma/healing informed practices into action and transform our own lives, our families, and our communities,
