KidsFirst works closely with other community-based and faith-based organizations as well as county agencies to ensure effective services and evidence based courses to meet the needs of children, parents and families in the community.
The classes we offer not only enhance family functions, improve health & well-being, and stabilize home environments, but they also provide a network of lasting support.
KidsFirst’s Youth Job Readiness class helps teens and young adults (ages 16–24) build the skills needed to land a job, manage money, and plan for the future. Learn how to stand out to employers, gain confidence, and set yourself up for success in adulthood. This class is designed to guide youth toward independence, stability, and long-term success.

Cooperative Coparenting
Through Separation or Divorce
This newly revised 8-week interactive co-parenting program helps separating parents shield their children from parental conflict while establishing a positive and cooperative relationship as co-parents. Learn skills needed to manage anger, increase impulse control, resolve conflict, and communicate effectively. Court approved certification upon completion.

Forever Fathers
Improve Yourself and Your Relationships
In this 8-week course specifically designed for dads and caretakers, participants learn and discuss positive father involvement, anger management, modeling for children, roles, rights and responsibilities, mentoring other struggling fathers, and other issues pertinent to fatherhood. Talk with other fathers in a confidential environment about the hardships and challenges men often experience including anger, stress, depression, relationship problems, and parenting skills.

Learn the definitions, requirements and protections of the California Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act.
You will learn :
- How the law defines child abuse and neglect
- What the law requires of you as a mandated reporter
- What protections the law provides for a mandated reporter
- How to spot evidence of child abuse
- How to report child abuse
- What happens after a report is filed
