Parent Child Interaction Therapy

(PCIT) is offered to families with children ages 2-7 who are experiencing behavioral issues. PCIT is an evidence-based treatment, which helps parents whose children are exhibiting symptoms such as aggression, defiance, non-compliance & temper tantrums. During PCIT, a therapist observes parent-child interaction in a specially equipped room, behind a one-way mirror. The therapist communicates with the parent through an earpiece, providing “real-time” coaching with a focus on the behaviors of both the child & the parent. Provided in 14-20 weekly sessions, PCIT helps enhance the parent-child bond, improve parenting skills & support positive child behavior.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

(TF-CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach for children, young adults, parents and families who are experiencing significant emotional and/or behavioral difficulties from a traumatic life event. TF-CBT is designed to help manage and resolve negative thoughts, behaviors and emotions. This program is offered by trained TF-CBT clinical team members, experienced in trauma-related issues, including dynamics of victimization, impact of domestic violence, families with substance abuse concerns, working with foster & adoption issues, grief & loss.

Perinatal Mental Health Therapy

Our Perinatal Mental Health Counseling program provides short-term, evidence-based therapy for moms experiencing emotional challenges during pregnancy and up to 18 months postpartum. This program supports mothers navigating perinatal depression, anxiety, and the many emotional transitions that can come with new motherhood. Licensed therapists offer compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care, helping moms stabilize, build resilience, and feel empowered in their parenting journey.

In addition to counseling, we provide whole-person care through our qualified case managers, who work alongside families to offer care coordination, resource navigation, and ongoing support tailored to each mom’s unique needs. This integrated approach ensures that both emotional and practical needs are addressed throughout the perinatal period.

The program also contributes to broader community awareness efforts aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding maternal mental health and encouraging early intervention. Upon completing therapy, moms are offered a warm and seamless transition into our Parents as Teachers (PAT) home visiting program for continued parenting education and support through their child’s early development.
