Shayne Wright is an Auburn native who began his career in 2009 with the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
While assigned to the Community Services Unit, he was the Placer Sheriff's Activities League coordinator. Prior to his promotion to Field Operations Captain, he served as lieutenant of Investigations and sworn Public Information Officer.
Wright previously worked in the courts and the jail, and spent a year working out of the Tahoe substation. In addition, he served on the Special Enforcement Team and is an active board member of the California Association of Tactical Officers.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is working on his master's degree in Public Safety Leadership at the University of San Diego.
Wright has a wife, Tygre, and son Wade. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf – when he’s playing well, of course.
We are excited to welcome him to the KidsFirst Board of Directors!
